Warwick Lodge Graded Rehabilitation Annex

Warwick Lodge Graded Rehabilitation Annex

×
Project title: Warwick Lodge Graded Rehabilitation Annex
Client: Castlebeck Care (Teesdale) Limited
Value: £1.13 Million
Location: Leicestershire
Role: RIBA Stages 0-6
Details: Warwick Lodge was originally built as a Royal Hunting Lodge in the early 20th Century and was then used as an old people’s home. It had stood empty for a few years when Castlebeck acquired it and its grounds. We worked with the client to develop a campus of facilities. A new Graded Rehabilitation Annex and Day Unit was built, the former Stables were converted to a Care Home (Croxton Lodge) for people with Learning Difficulties and Warwick Lodge itself was restored to a 15 bed Unit for people with acquired brain injuries. The Graded Rehabilitation Annex contains training kitchens, computer rooms, a sensory room, craft rooms and bedrooms and a flat for the more independent residents, providing a route to greater self reliance. It is divided in two to serve the special needs of each of the two groups sharing the site.
